Created as my yearbook photo and inspired by Nina Martinez's work, the self-portrait represents the unravelling of personality that occurs when getting to know people. The ribbon acts as the subject and the strategic positioning of its twirl aims to revert the focus from the subject’s physicality to the inner surfaces that represent one’s true character.
